Who We Are...


UCLA EERI is the student chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of earthquake engineering education and research for the purpose of reducing seismic hazard worldwide (https://www.eeri.org/). UCLA EERI is open to all students in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department as well as related fields (architecture, urban planning, etc.) The primary goals of the student chapter are to

* Enrich the educational experience for students interested in earthquake engineering by hosting guest seminars by academics and practitioners, field trips, and social activities, and
* to connect students to professional members of EERI in order to facilitate career development.


Membership is open to all UCLA students. In order to join, you must become a student member of EERI ( https://www.eeri.org/member-center/get-involved/become-a-member/ ). The cost is currently $25. There is no additional fee for joining the UCLA chapter. Once you join, please email uclaeeri@gmail.com to be added to our mailing list.

13 Oct, 2016: EERI @ UCLA will be hosting out General Meeting of the year. We will be introducing this year's officer board as well as all the various ways you could get involved with the club! This event is happening at BH4275 at 12pm. So make sure to be there if you'd like to learn more about us, meet us, and have some Subway for lunch (YAY)!


16 Sep, 2016:[EERI] Pre-registration for 2017 SDC is now open! All teams planning to compete are required to pre-register, and future communications will be done through the information submitted. Read more on SLC's website.


11 Aug, 2016:The EERI student chapter at UCLA will be hosting its eighth session of summer research roundtables on Thursday, August 11th, with a presentation by Arastoo Dasmeh on "Performance Based Procedures for Embedded Structures".
